Event Overview

Join us for a weekend of running, community, and celebration at the inaugural New Jersey Running Festival, proudly presented by SILVERMAN, Jersey City’s most trusted landlord. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best in the 10K, chasing the competition in the Pro Mile, enjoying a casual jog in the 5K, or cheering on the next generation in the Kids Fun Run, there’s something for everyone. Friends, family, and spectators are all welcome to explore the expo, soak in waterfront views, and revel in the festive atmosphere.

Expo & Packet Pick-Up

Location: Harborside Atrium, Jersey City Waterfront (by Exchange Place)
Hours:

• Saturday, October 11: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Sunday, October 12: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Registered runners (and their guests) can:

• Pick up race bibs and commemorative T-shirts

• Browse exhibits from our partners, sponsors, and local vendors

• Grab last-minute running gear, nutrition, and swag

Race Day & Festival

Monday, October 13 (Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples Day)
Festival Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Owen Grundy Park & Pier, Exchange Place

Across Owen Grundy Park and the adjacent pier, enjoy:

• Live music and DJs

• Food trucks and local eateries

• Kids’ activity zone and face painting

• Sponsor booths with giveaways and contests

Course & Permitting

• Course: Waterfront loop(s) around Exchange Place, with possible extension into the Newport waterfront district—final route to be announced.

• Permits: Preliminary city approval granted; full permits pending and expected before the event.

Registration & Policies

• Opens: Sunday, June 1, 2025

• Refunds:

  • Full refund if the event is canceled or postponed

  • Refundable (minus processing) for withdrawals submitted by October 1, 2025

• Weather: Rain or shine, unless severe weather forces cancellation

• Age Categories: All ages welcome; parental supervision required for children under 12
